Here are a series of Sun and Moon themed batiks.  This is just a sampling of the many many celestial symbols that I have crafted over the years.  Milena from now, our descendents will still be looking to the heavens and marveling at the at the wonder of the moon and the sun.

Sun 1

This image is actually lifted right out of the Aquarian Tarot Deck, although that version is much more muted. For my art form it is a perfect image to play with. Simply put it is the thundering power of the sun.

Moon 1

This was the back side of the preceding image, sketched and made to look spacey with an airbrush.

Spiky Sun 1

All hail the sun king!

Spiky Sun 2

I just love how this image looks like it is vibrating.

Spiky Sun 3

“That lucky old sun, has got nothing to do, except roll around heaven all day.”

Sun 2

Another Sun and Moon front and back shirt held up by an old and dear friend. With a peak at my college bed room wall.

Moon 2

The back of the preceding image. Who else had a Steeleye Span poster on their college bedroom wall?

But I wonder will the sun still see all the people goin’ by

Will the moon still hang in the sky when I die

When I die, when I’m high, when I die?”
